Eva Unit 01 - Neon Genesis Evangelion

Oh well... I decided to challenge myself last week and made a wearable Eva Unit 01 head from Neon Genesis Evangelion. And it was really challenging ! First it took me two days to create the pattern but I made it ! I used pictures from the 1995 series as reference, but since it is old animation the Eva never looks the same from one shot to another I had to get help from my 1996 action figure to figure out the right shape. My action figure died in the process of building this helmet, it fell to the floor and it lost its horn and right arm. RIP. After a week of fierce battle against this project, it is finally done and I am quite pleased with the finished build. I did not use any power tools (other than a heat-gun) and I don't own an airbrush so this is 100% hand-painted. I found a neon green zipper that I put on the back of the helmet, so it is easy to put on ! A long time ago, in The Legend of Zelda : Spirit Tracks, I really liked how Zelda could possess the Phantoms. When I saw the updated version of the Phantom armor in Breath of the Wild, I knew I had to cosplay it. When I finally got the time, I started designing and making patterns for my costume. I created it from scratch and this actually is my first big foam build, my first ever armor suit. A lot of love went into creating this costume, everything is hand-cut, hand-sanded, hand-painted with utmost care. The finished armor brought me a lot of joy, I am very proud of it. This cosplay allows me to celebrate The Legend of Zelda franchise which is very dear to me, but also to properly pay tribute to a game that has long been underrated. I got the opportunity to go on a photoshoot with the talented Cristian Stoltz , he picked a great location and we had a lot of fun while shooting. Ravio of Lorule - The Legend of Zelda : A Link Between Worlds

I made Ravio from A Link between Worlds ! I've wanted to do it for a long time and it was a really fun project. This is going to be a more casual cosplay to wear and goof around in at conventions. If you want to make your own Ravio cosplay looking just like this one, I've put together some patterns and tutorials in a little book called "Ravio of Lorule" available in my shop . This book includes patterns and building instructions for the hood, belt and bracelet as well as a sewing tutorial for the robe. Go check it out !
